Last night the East of Scotland Football League ratified and completed the long-expected saga confirming the resignation of Syngenta FC with immediate effect from the Second Division.

'The Dyes' were sitting in 2nd place at the time of their troubles coming to a head, with a number of their games (including matches against ourselves) being postponed due to being unable to raise a team following off-field fall outs resulting in most of the playing and management staff leaving the club (most to Camelon).

The League table has now been rectified with all Syngenta's results now expunged and the points/goals for all clubs that have played the club now adjusted accordingly.

From a League point of view, Newburgh are probably the only club in the division who had yet to play Syngenta due to either weather or the recent issues.

Meanwhile, the Burgh were supposed to be 1st Round visitors to Syngenta in the League Cup. This was postponed recently and the Burgh have now received a 'bye' into Round 2 where we will now face Hawick Royal Albert at East Shore Park on Saturday 1st April after Hawick won their 1st Round match this week against Vale of Leithen 4-2.
